“Peaceful Pentecost”

Just got back from a couple of days out on the Gibb River road, We were there 10 years ago and I missed the opportunity to take a decent shot of the good ol Cockburn ranges with the Penticost river in the foreground. This place must be photographed more often than Uluru I reckon. I waited for about two hours for people to stop driving over it and stirring it up and I’m glad I did as I think this shot taken around fifteen minutes after sunset came out better with the evening afterglow and nice even light through the image.

nice colours. Is that a road starting at the other side of the river?!
What settings did you use for this and how many images are stitched together, if you don;t mind sharing…?

      Hi Joe,
It was an 8 image stitch shot on manual mode. Thanks for dropping by.

Regardless it’s still a lovely scene isn’t – gotta love the cockburns… I’m always a sucker for those post set hues. 🙂
